Established in 1963, the Enugu Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ECCIMA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and protecting commerce, industry, mines, and agriculture in Enugu State and beyond. As a non-partisan association, we bring together business professionals committed to the civic, commercial, and industrial progress of our region.
Since our inception, ECCIMA has played a pivotal role in representing the business community’s opinions on matters affecting commerce, industry, mines, and agriculture. Originally serving a vast area that included the current jurisdictions of well-known chambers such as Port Harcourt, Uyo, Calabar, Aba, and others, we have maintained and grown our influence over the years. Our signature event, the Enugu International Trade Fair, is recognized globally and continues to attract significant participation and attention.
The Chamber’s publications, including journals, have become leading references for businessmen exploring trade and investment opportunities in the state and the country. ECCIMA is the official body through which local business opinions on commercial, industrial, mining, and agricultural matters are presented to government authorities at both national and local levels. We are frequently consulted by the government in advance on the preparation of new legislation affecting these sectors.
Today, ECCIMA stands as a major organization for collecting and distributing business information, especially regarding regulations, tariffs, commerce opportunities, and joint ventures. Our continuous efforts focus on enhancing the Enugu business environment and supporting the business community through advocacy, resource provision, and global networking.
